Sainsbury's are awesome, Tesco not so much!

Just a note to says I think Sainsbury's on line food shopping service is awesome.

I work all week and my evenings are filled with the hubby and Darwin, I hate doing the food shop at the weekend as those places are always soooooooooooo busy, so we 90% of the time do it on line. Now we flick between Tesco and Sainsbury's and always seems to spend around £70, I know you get points with Tesco which is the thing that often draws me back to them however the level of service is so much better with Sainsburys.

Tesco give you a two hours slot for the delivery (to which they are almost always late and never call you) and they never give you chance to check your shopping (dates/alternatives etc) before thrusting the machine in your hand to sign for the delivery. Once I had a Tesco one booked for a 5 - 7 I was at home all day so when it got to 7.30 and still no delivery I was getting a little annoyed so I went on line and filled in an on line complaint and requested a call asap. Around 9ish two tesco women turn up at my door with my shopping (all of the frozen stuff half defrosted) when I question why they were so late she said I'm the supervisor when the driver turned up no one was in. I stated that I had been in all day and if that was the case why didn't the driver ring me as the site says  they will (I had provided my mobile and land line) her reply was to roll her eyes and say he rang me hes my husband! (like that answers my question!) all the time the tag along was snickering. so with my tail between my legs I took my semi warm shopping and they left.

So after I grew some balls and realised that I wasn't happy with this I sent another email of complaint and do you know what happened..........nothing, absolutely nothing I got no email, phone call, letter nothing some of the worse customer service ever - FACT

Well on a more positive note, Sainsbury's give you an hour slot for the delivery. Today I had a slot booked for 8 - 9 we had a different delivery driver and he turned up at 9.03 and well gosh he was so apologetic and friendly. He gave me time to check the dates and he explained about the alternative / not available items and then to top it off he gave an evoucher for £10 as goodwill for being late. Now I'm fully aware the little blue beach hut is a hard place to find as were not on any sat navs etc and 3 minutes is hardly world ending. So as most people don't recommend anything these days only complain I wanted to share this with you all.

Love
